FULL MOON PLANT WALK

July 12, 2014 @ 6:45 pm - 8:00 pm

Join this cool evening walk with moonrise as backdrop.  The University of Arizona Campus grounds are an Arboretum, full of native Sonoran Desert plants, and many other plants imported from similar climates.  Take note of native food and medicinal plants, and what growth stage they are in.  Collect a small sample of mesquite pods, if available, to taste-test.  Watch the sun set in the west and the moon rise in the east as we cross campus toward it.

WHERE:  UA Campus, meet at Old Main, near fountain

WHEN:  July 12th, 6:45pm-8:00pm

HOW MUCH:  $10/person, up to ten people.  Please CONTACT me to sign up for walk, and pay fee the day of walk.

ETC:  Wear comfortable/sensible walking clothes and shoes.  Bring personal gear you need, like walking stick, water bottle, snax, sun protection, extra clothes, pack, camera, first aid, etc.  Bring supplies for notes and drawing if desired.  Please arrive 10 minutes early so walk starts on time.  Carpool if possible.  Snakes are likely to be active, so be aware.  Parking on campus limited, closest pay lot is behind Student Union or on NE corner of Speedway/Park (use underpass/crosswalk to cross Speedway).
